LATEST: PDO THREADS TRAINING | 2.07.2017

Recently, we organised a PDO threads training at The Royal Society of Medicine in London. The training was led by two trainers for 6 delegates who arrived to learn more about the PDO threads procedure.

PDO thread lifting is an innovative procedure to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. Threads were first used to correct facial paralysis. With time, studies revealed a mechanical induced skin tension and a stimulation of fibroblasts to natural neocollagenesis. PDO threads have a high safety profile, complete absorption and minimal tissue reaction. The PDO thread generates tensing fibrosis in the surrounding tissue. When inserted correctly in the subcutaneous tissue, the risk for scarring is absent.

The day featured an in-depth theoretical presentation by Dr Martyn King and followed by Q&A session with the delegates. The delegates were then split into two groups, where Dr Martyn King and Dr Hassan Soueid demonstrated the technique on a model. Delegates were required to bring their own models for a hands-on training session led both by Dr Martyn King and Dr Hassan Soueid.

Hyaluronic Acid |5 Things To Know | #beauty

Hyaluronic Acid now very well-known across beauty and skincare brands. It is present in most products available on the market, from the high street brands to the more prestigious ranges.

Do you know much about it though? I know when I first started taking interest in the world of aesthetics and beauty products, Hyaluronic Acid was just a mysterious chemical element to my products that worked wonders – as promised by the beauty brands and beauty experts. How can you boost Hyaluronic acid naturally and why is it the no 1 ingredient in beauty products? Find out below.

  1. The Natural Miracle
50% of the body’s Hyaluronic Acid is found in the skin tissue. After years of research scientists found that you can create Hyaluronic Acid in laboratories, and once added to skincare products, they were amazed at the anti-ageing results it had on the skin of the patients. It isn’t harsh or skin-stripping and it attracts moisture to the skin. Long known factor in keeping the skin looking young and healthy.

  1. Wine me up, and watch me go!
As we know, Hyaluronic Acid is produced already in the body, it is a natural compound found mostly in our eyes and skin. Red wine has been long proclaimed as a miracle in small doses, and here, yet again it proves that we shouldn’t feel guilty about that one glass at the end of the day after all. Red wine is know for helping the body produce its own Hyaluronic Acid. And as you know, the more of that good stuff, the younger we look!

  2. Hungry?
Leafy greens and homemade broths are the ones you should be interested in to boost your natural Hyaluronic Acid production. You will want a good ol’ Bone Broth (sorry, veggies!) which you can find a recipe for here. Enjoy with a glass of red. 😉

For us veggies though, eggs are also a good source of Hyaluronic Acid as well as protein, of course. Your leafy greens, such as spinach or kale, which you can also chuck into your broths or incorporate with other dishes will benefit you, not only with boosting the Hyaluronic acid but also a boost for your immune system, protein intake and many other health benefits.

  3. Treat yourself….
….to a bottle of water. Or two. It is possibly the best gift for your skin and overall health. Widely known fact that water boosts many of bodies natural defence systems, and hydrated skin looks younger and more radiant than one that’s not regularly moisturised or exposed to dry weather conditions. Keep well hydrated, and your skin will thank you for it.

  4. Invest!
No, I’m not sneaking in financial advice – invest in yourself, in your skin. Skincare products with Hyaluronic Acid are popularly deemed ‘expensive’ or even ‘over-priced’ but you cannot argue with science and the clinical trials. You are not over paying if you see that the science does work and the improvements are visible in just 14 DAYS! That’s with one product in particular, Fillerina. See how Fillerina’s Treatment Kit formulated with 6 Hyaluronic Acids worked for Alice Hart- Davies.
