Recently, we organised a PDO threads training at The Royal Society of Medicine in London. The training was led by two trainers for 6 delegates who arrived to learn more about the PDO threads procedure.

PDO thread lifting is an innovative procedure to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. Threads were first used to correct facial paralysis. With time, studies revealed a mechanical induced skin tension and a stimulation of fibroblasts to natural neocollagenesis. PDO threads have a high safety profile, complete absorption and minimal tissue reaction. The PDO thread generates tensing fibrosis in the surrounding tissue. When inserted correctly in the subcutaneous tissue, the risk for scarring is absent.

The day featured an in-depth theoretical presentation by Dr Martyn King and followed by Q&A session with the delegates. The delegates were then split into two groups, where Dr Martyn King and Dr Hassan Soueid demonstrated the technique on a model. Delegates were required to bring their own models for a hands-on training session led both by Dr Martyn King and Dr Hassan Soueid.

The delegates will also receive supporting materials distributed physically and digitally within the following week to assist with communicating with clients about the treatment and information on how to market the treatment within their clinic.
